Elsie-May is a recent 2023 graduate after studying BA (Hons) Textile Design at Norwich University of the Arts in Norwich, United Kingdom. Elsie specialises in Surface Pattern Design, with a love for botanical illustration and watercolour. The designers Final Major Project at university, titled 'Biophilia - Where The World Of Botanicals Meets Your Home' was a collection of prints created for an interior space to bring the calming feeling of the outdoors into the home, while delivering a high-end design to each print. A lot of inspiration for the prints came from different walks and gardens through the seasons, which influences a positive wellbeing, in which the textile designer found a deep passion for botanicals, being drawn with intricate details and colour in nature.

Elsie has always been fascinated by pattern and how it can transform a living space. Having an eye for detail, scale and colour are skills that the designer thinks are key to being a successful Surface Pattern Designer, which were highly developed through projects at university.
